French telco and new Premier League broadcaster SFR launches brand new SFR Sport app

French telco SFR, recently acquired by Altice, will broadcast the Premier League in France from 2016/2017, in addition to the rugby Aviva Premiership and the French top-tier basketball league Pro A.

Former Ma Chaîne Sport pay-TV channels, also acquired by Altice, will soon be rebranded to SFR Sport 1, 2, 3, 4K and 5. SFR thus decided to launch a dedicated SFR Sport app in order to give access to the channels to all its mobile, internet and IPTV subscribers.

The app will allow users to :

– Follow SFR Sport channels in live streaming and all sports channels distributed by SFR (beIN Sports, France TV, etc.)

– Watch VOD contents from SFR such as match highlights

– Read news provided by RMC Sport

– Check all results, schedules and rankings of top-tier sports competitions

AirPlay and Chromecast are also supported in the app in order to allow subscribers to watch all their contents on TV.
